The Granby Community Fund is an all-volunteer, non- profit organization whose membership is comprised of agencies serving Granby citizens. The Granby Community Fund coordinates the town-wide fund-raising efforts of member agencies into a single, annual solicitation. Primary responsibilities of the Granby Community Fund are to minimize the fundraising and administrative costs of the member agencies; to maximize the charitable contributions of the community to the Granby Community fund; and to manage and distribute the funds among the member agencies responsibly. Member agencies are charitable organizations that benefit the residents of Granby, and that have joined as members of the fund. Once a year in May, these member agencies present their funding requirements to a special committee of the Granby Community Fund. Based on those presentations the committee decides how much funding will be given and oversees the dispersion of funds to each agency. In addition, the Granby Community Fund provides special one-time grants on an as-needed basis to deserving non-profit community organizations. If your organization is a 501 (C)(3), nonprofit organization and interested in becoming a member agency, or to apply for a special one-time grant, please contact the Granby Community Fund, President John Wilkinson john.wilkinson@cox.net
